Introduction

The Goldfields property benefits from a strategic location, situated just 700 meters from IAMGOLD’s Fayolle mine operation and less than 300 meters from the mining lease boundary at the heart of this dynamic mining region of Abitibi. Deeply rooted along the famous Porcupine-Destor fault, this property exhibits gold potential, with historical mineralized showings that suggest its strategic value for future exploration.

Geology and Exploration Potential

  • Mineralization is associated with syenite and lamprophyre intrusions, adjacent to ultramafic volcanic units.
  • The mineralization is disseminated and controlled by deformation elements such as shearing and fracturing zones.
  • Interpretation and modeling work revealed a distinct northeast-southwest structural trend of gold occuances.

Exploration History and Results

Historical Drilling

Previous drilling has yielded significant results, such as 2.86 g/t over 18.22 meters (hole 83-01) and 4.44 g/t over 4 meters (hole 85-15). However, the historical data from these holes is not validated according to current industry standards and should be interpreted with caution.

2023 Drilling Campaign

In 2023, Goldflare drilled holes that led to the discovery of an interval with 15.36 g/t over 7.05 meters, with a significant enrichment of 103.86 g/t over 1 meter in hole AIG-23-13.

2024 Drilling Phase

A new drilling phase confirmed mineralization of 1.3 g/t over 22.8 meters.

Nearby Properties and Mines

  • Bouchard-Hébert Mine (1995-2005): This mine produced approximately 483,160 oz from 9,578,716 tonnes at a grade of 1.43 g/t (MERN, DV-2006-01).
  • Yvan Vézina Mine (1989-1993): This mine produced approximately 143,708 ounces of gold, along with zinc, copper, and silver, from a total production of 1,095,191 tonnes of ore at 3.72 g/t (Sigeom).

  • Exploration of the main Goldfields lens and possible parallel structures identified along the Porcupine corridor.
  • Testing new targets along a 3.5 km axis, integrating advanced techniques like gold biogeochemistry.
  • Continuing drilling to explore the continuity of mineralization and identify additional targets for deeper drilling.
